Wed 23 Dec 2015 Mt Maunganui

Summary:
The 5 boys were set up to sleep together in the garage/rumpus room, so they were up pretty early, playing on their electronic devices. After a slow start (Briony had the day off but had already been on a morning run), we went off to climb the local Mt Maunganui. It was a lovely day and HM huffed and puffed her way up the mountain (250 m high). While the kids had a massive water balloon fight, the girls started the construction of a massive gingerbread house. Luckily it was well engineered, with lots of advice from the engineer and builder, and stood up despite being loaded with lollies - there was a fierce competition on which group had the best side! While the house royal icing/cement was setting, we went out to a local restaurant for a lovely pasta/pizza meal.

MK: Racing up to The Mount at Mt Maunganui.

MH: Water balloon fight! The Jelly Tip Trumpet ice cream is pretty cool too!
