Tue 12 Jan 2016 Te Anau

Summary:
We ended up having a quiet day walking along the shores of Lake Te Anau in the morning. CK didn't like HM's suggestion of one last big 3 hour walk to the 'Key Summit' which is along the Routeburn Great Walk Track. After that we walked to the local cinema to watch a film called 'Fiordland on Film', which showcases the Fiordland National Park through different seasons and perspective. It showed some awesome landscapes, some of which is extremely remote and inaccessible except by helicopter.

The afternoon was spent playing poker and 500, and catching up on blogging. CK and HM also joined the kids with cubing. HM insisted on learning F2Ls, which took a while to memorise. Then the rain started. We have been very lucky with the weather, having managed to do a lot of outdoor activities in fine conditions.
