Getting ready ... flight from Melbourne to New Zealand is on Sunday 20 Dec 2015.
Some tips and tricks:
- Download "Here Maps" app and "Australian/New Zealand maps". GPS navigation can then be done without Wifi nor Mobile data.
- For New Zealand topographic maps for walks, download GeoTIFF maps from www.topomap.co.nz and load them to "PDF Maps" app for GPS tracking.
- There are "water stations" in cities/towns where you should fill up your water bottles when you get the chance.
